Mt. Battie Modern May 2018 Show and Tell

Karen Martin’s Tula Pink 100 Modern quilt blocks quilt is back from the long-arm quilter, Joan Herrick.

So pretty!  Love this quilt, love Karen’s color choices and her sashing fabric choice.

Nancy Wright showed us a quilt also just back from a longarm quilter.  It is to be a graduation present for a family member.  Love her fabric choices.  Nancy has the most interesting “eye” with her projects.  I always love to see what she does.

Linda Satkowski showed us her finished top, EPP flower gardenin bright colors.  Oh my!  I’ve watched her work on individual blocks for some time now, but, the top is just “Wow!”

Becca Babb-Brott showed us her finished “Gee’s Bend” quilt—started in a workshop last summer with a Gee’s Bend quilter teaching at our local Fiber College.  Becca hand-quilted with pearl cotton—Gee’s Bend style.  I’m going next time Gee’s Bend comes back to teach!  Love this quilt.

So, we had A LOT to see at this meeting.  I am blown away by the creativity happening in this group.  We agreed on our projects for next year, and we are already excited about starting them—in January 2019.
